2,5 years after the Covid-19 crisis, discussions focus on the urgent action needed to address the labour and social consequences of the current crises, and the use of human-centered approaches to support resilience and sustainability.
New technologies are not only changing the way businesses operate, but also the way employees think and communicate, whose skills and attitudes remain particularly important. Despite the technological developments, the main priority is to keep humans at the center of our attention.
To thrive in the 21st century where there are major global crises of humanity, we need to understand and tackle the challenges coming our way.
The 3rd Hellenic Conference on Occupational Health and Safety – Focusing on Humans, will take place on November 10 & 11, 2022, at the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall and will attempt to trace today’s challenges in occupational health and safety. The conference seeks to respond to the challenges of the new world where the boundaries between work and other social activities are fluid, from an anthropocentric perspective and view.

About the Conference
The rapid development of technology has created a new reality in the work environment. The new way of working, shifts to new forms of working arrangements as the teleworking presented many opportunities for workers but also posed potential OSH risks. What can be the new skills and competences for OSH sector? Can we talk about a new need to re-skilling and re-qualification?
New technologies have created new risks and the need to find new ways to deal with them. In this context, the world of work is redefining the way it operates in order to cope with the new challenges.
The conference will attempt to trace today’s health and safety challenges in the workplace from an anthropocentric perspective knowing that the boundaries between work and other social activities are now fluid.
The COVID-19 pandemic and its social and economic consequences threaten us with a tsunami wave of changes which we had never encountered before.

ELINYAE is the Social Partners (GSEE, SEV, GSEVEE, ESEE, SETE) Institute on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), having 30 years of experience in the fields of research and the provision of information, advisory support and training. It was founded in 1992 as an independent non-profit organisation upon a joint initiative of the social partners, having the objective to provide scientific and technical support and to serve the policy for occupational safety and health in Greece. Its vision is the promotion of safety and health at work and the strengthening of a prevention culture in association with employers, employees and the society for the benefit of all of them.
